Woodbury, Briar Meadow, Piedmont, Belle Aire, Glenbrook, Alhambra, Palo Alto, De La Vista, and Rio Ponderosa are all missing a Neighborhood Recreation Center. We truly are lacking in equal distributions of amenities - since almost every neighborhood south of 466 has a NRC.

Please!!
Well let see the Savannah center and The Sharon are BOTH in the North so those in the Brownwood area have a LONG way to go to get the best shows. besides where I live in Santo Domingo it is 6 min to Spanish Springs and 8 to Sumter....We are fine up here !!

Yes, they added more as they went along. It is easy to sell your home at a profit and move to where there are more rec centers or just drive to the rec centers that are far from you as we often do. Or...figure out where they would put more rec centers north, now that it is all complete, or...move to Sun Valley where they have good deals on seat belts for golf carts. There are all kinds of choices and there is evaluating a situation and accepting it or changing it for oneself. Then of course you could join a group that would sue the developer. I am almost sure that I read that there would be a rec center and an executive course in the area the developers are planning to build north of 466. Am I wrong? Weren't they going to use a church building and that fell through and now they have other plans for a rec center? |

I live north of 466 and am happy with the amenities. There are 3 pools, 4 if you count the sports pool at The Savannah Center, within a short golf cart drive and plenty of golf courses. I have never had a problem getting a desirable tee time in my short time here in The Villages. I believe the plans fro the new development include pools. This should help all residents in the area since we are free to use any pool we wish. |

It's pretty clear that the developer made improvements as he build southward. There seems to be a feeling on the part of some folks that he is now obligated to bring the previous areas up to the same standards. I just don't see that. Also, if it is true that ammenities are more plentiful south of 466, I don't see how the loading on those north of 466 are increased. Seems like that would tend to pull some folks south, therefore lessening the load.

We have not had one offer on it and we are hearing that people do not want to buy North of 466. We live in Woodbury and love it, only health issues are making us sell. We have plenty of amenities and even the VA clinic. Please let people know that we love the north side. |
