My dog would chase his tail. Which might be good training for the circles.

You never know ! If something happens, the dog might have to take over and drive the car. :loco:

I hope not. My dog is a terrible driver. If he sees a cat on the way to the hospital, I'm doomed.

CFrance 12-04-2014 06:22 PM

I love this thread!

That dog's a teenage boy! He spends as much time looking out the side window as he does looking where he's going.:22yikes:

Good Gawd, I remember that whole year our younger son was 15 and I had to ride everywhere with him. I still have nightmares. ARRRRRRRRRRRGHHH... Oh, sorry. Off topic.

tomwed 12-04-2014 08:25 PM

I asked my dog for a ride this morning. He told me to take the Greyhound.

Well, I asked my dog to take me somewhere today and he told me no, he's only a retriever.

Well if you can get a ride, your dog can come and pick you up. ;)

tomwed 12-05-2014 09:14 AM

Forget the retriever, I like to think of my self as a real go getter. In the morning I take my wife to work and later I go get her.

Oh, I see.... Your dog taught you how to fetch !! :pepper2:

tomwed 12-05-2014 09:26 AM

Sort of, but that wasn't my first dog. When I was a kid I had a 3 legged dog named "Skippy".

I wonder if he was any relation to my 2 legged dog, Hopper !!

Bonny 12-05-2014 09:42 AM

Okay, I think we got a little off topic. ;)

tomwed 12-05-2014 11:37 AM

[just one more---and it's been fun, i've been laughing off and on for 2 days]
I had a two legged dog too, named Eileen.

Hankg42 12-05-2014 11:43 AM

Topic veers farther off course...

I thought Eileen was Ben Dover's wife's name. :-)
It is not uncommon in Florida for the county to steer most road construction to one favored contractor.

That contractor starts work on one stretch, then moves on to another and then another. He goes through the funds and cannot afford to finish what he starts, so the county awards another contract so he can use the funds for previously awarded and unfinished work. And so on and so on.

It is a never ending cycle of ineptitude entirely endorsed by elected officials.
But, doesn't that occur everywhere??? :(

I see a notice on Wildwood's website which says the widening of 466A from Powell Road to 301 should be completed by April 2015.

I believe the first estimate was Oct or Nov 2014. Now April 2015. I'll place my bet on Dec 2015. Good thing this contractor isn't building an interstate hwy from Fla. to Calif.

villagetinker 01-27-2015 07:01 PM

Probably April 1st................

And how exactly does a dog drive?

I don't know but I did ask my dog to take me to my doctor's appointment, as he is a better driver. :D

dadspet 02-02-2015 11:42 AM

This is a crazy situation can't believe it nothing is happening on this road for over a year now that we can see

twoplanekid 04-16-2015 02:40 PM

466A to Wildwood will reopen this Monday, April 20th 2015 for those driving cars, trucks or bicycles.

NYGUY 04-16-2015 03:01 PM

Will wonders never cease!!

Ragman 04-16-2015 03:11 PM

The reason for the delay was substandard pipes and drains were found after the site was excavated. The proper decision was made to replace these while the work was ongoing rather than wait and in a few years tear everything up again.

This was reported several times by several news sources.

Looks like Shimpy is going to lose a bet.
