Default 4th of July in TV

The hubs and I will be in our home in TV from June 26 through July 5!! We are counting the days, believe you me!!

Was wondering if anything special is being planned, like, for instance, fireworks, a big BBQ, etc?

Can't wait to get there and meet more TOTVr's!

They do not do fireworks, etc. What they do is put on a really big special show at each of the townsquares with the twirlers, etc during the regular music time 5-9. We really enjoy it.

Thanks, Army Guy! That sounds like a lot of fun. I'm not much for fireworks myself. The Hubs is a former Army major!!

Default Now at Savannah Center

The 4th of July shows were moved into Savannah Center last year. All the music you got for free you now buy tickets for.
The money goes for a house near Tampa where relatives of injured soldiers can stay while they rehab.
They still have stuff at the squares but it's not the same.

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

Be a gentleman, remove your hat/cap when entering a building and dining out!

SABRM, are you sure? We were at Lake Sumter last year for the 4th and they put on one heck of a show. Lasted several hours. Can't see Anne doing her fire baton toss inside the Center!

Fire batons??!!! Now THAT I've got to see!

AG, are you and your bride going to be in TV over the 4th? If so, maybe we could meet at one of the squares? You and the hubs could talk Army to one another?

Lynne....no fireworks in The Villages but, after dark, you can find a high spot (Mallory Hill, Truman Rec Center, etc) and get a pretty good panoramic view of fireworks being set off in many small towns/private homes in the area.

The concert bands (New Horizons and Villages Concert) will combine and perform at the Savannah Center on July 3rd at 3:00 and 7:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now at the box offices. We did this last year too and, believe me, air-conditioning in July is wonderful. The benefit is the same as last year - Fisher House (housing families of wounded soldiers while they are recuperating or in rehab).
