Default Power outages

When there is a power outage that last for an extended period of time, are residences allowed to use generators to power their houses?

I have a gasoline generator that I can hook up to power my entire house except the AC but I was not sure if the noise would not be allowed in TV.

Are we allowed to run them in TV?

I would think that if the power was off long enough, you would have lots of company. Is the coffee pot on?

I've seem some premier homes near Palmer that have permanently mounted whole-house generators installed. GSo I guess it must be o.k.!

If one of your neighbors complains about the noise, let them plug in with their extension cord........

Default Whole house generator

We live in a designer in Sable Chase. We have a whole house generator. It was installed a few years ago. We went through proper channels, so yes, they are allowed. So far, we haven't had to use it, but I guess that's the nature of 'insurance' policies.

My neighbor across the street has a generator. We all used his refrigerator in 2004 when we had 4 hurricanes in 6 weeks.
