The statement, as I'm interpreting it, means that when the 9-year-old turns 16, she can get a learner's permit. And as long as she doesn't get any moving traffic convictions within the next twelve months, she can get her drivers license.

Perhaps I should have qualified my answer by saying I wasn't sure and it didn't exactly fit but at least it was something.

I agree it's something but - more like if someone says "the sky is blue" and someone else says "see, that PROVES that the sky causes depression, because it's blue, like having the Blues."

Well that's ridiculous, but whatever

Just had a six passenger cart full of young kids fly by me through a stop sign. I doubt the driver was older than 12.

Looked like the parents them to McDonald's at Magnolia Plaza for dinner...

You must not children or grandchildren. If you want total control of who comes in you have a few choices.

Move to a assisted living where many don’t visit, but would be less than here.

Buy a island in say the Bahamas and live a very secluded life.

Or and this might be the best, if you want to stay in the area.

Coleman probably has the least amount of child visits, so commit a crime, enter Coleman, and all your dreams of no children could come true. Roommate subject to crime:icon_twisted::1rotfl:

I see young kids driving all the time, it's fun until this happens..... grandparents, these are not toys.

What? A "moving traffic conviction" most certainly is the result of a ticket (citation). If you receive a traffic ticket, and pay the fine, you have been convicted.

Nah. “Darwin Award” is worn out. Just like “Nuff said” and all the emojis people complete their posts with.

Why don't you give us a list of words, and comments that are acceptable to you. Then we can take them under consideration.

What a ridiculous statement. That means grandparents could never have their grandchildren visit. The Villages cater to young visitors (note: visitors) not permanent. That is why there is grandparents camp and swimming pools for all
Ages and other events. I feel so sorry for you if you have no children on your life!

Southwest737 07-10-2022 08:29 AM

A lot of the grandparents should not be driving either.

GOLFER54 07-10-2022 08:33 AM

Bad judgment on grandmas part. Nevertheless I hope she will be fine.

Surprised no one had mentioned what this must have been like for the young girl. Guilt that may last a lifetime for hurting her grandmother. Adults must choose wisely in protecting children because children are not yet capable of doing so.

"Stupid is, as stupid does". Granny got her just reward. No sympathy (except for the grandchild).

yesterday two 9-10 year old boys had a golf cart at the family pool where the Rio Grand postal station is also located. They were driving it away from the pool with no adult present. If I see this again, I will take a picture and report it. And, parents or grandparents, be aware that you will be reported. This is dangerous and if another cart driver/ cart gets damaged or hurt, you will be held financially responsible. What are you thinking!!!!
