Not Lowes, but you could get to Walmart, but would take a loooong time.

I stand corrected!!! Thank you.

There is a Walmart on 466 and it is golf cart accessible. Lowes is too but much farther. I would guess that Lowes is close to 17 miles from Brownwood itself, the town center.

Many people refer to the Brownwood area meaning all of the new villages south of 466A.

As a matter of fact Lowes comes before Walmart if you are going o the one on 441. As of now the golf cart trail to either is dirt and a bit bumpy but some of it will be paved when construction is completed on the new senior housing unit.

From Brownwood just follow Buena Vista up to the tunnel under 466A and follow the cart path around Turtle Mound and follow it all the way up Buena Vista till you reach Parr Drive near the Laurel Manor Center. Take a left on Parr to Belvedere and then right thru the tunnel under 466 and follow cart path on 101 to go left thru tunnel under 101 and follow back to Woodrige then right to Wal Mart. If you know the streets or check a map you could take a left on Belvedere a couple crossings before Parr Drive and follow it all the way around to the tunnel under 466. Not a bad ride from south of 466A. Our cart is gas, don't know about a battery cart.

If you are on the end near Colony Plaza just take Morse and work your way over to Buena Vista where ever you choose.

From the Captiva Rec Center on Pinellas to Lowes is exactly 8 miles by car but you'll have to go over the cart bridge on 441/27 so it would be a little further by cart. Some other posts tell you how to get to Lowes on the dirt path.

I take my cart to Lowes, Walmart, and Aldi's all the time. As soon as the construction is done in that area, you'll have a nice paved road and won't need to take the temporary path around the construction area.

Yes....to both WalMarts....and to Lowes as well. The latter, you go over the bridge at 441. I know how to get to all the places but not how to give the directions!

Pack a lunch and gas up or if electric plug up!!!!! You'll have a pretty long scenic ride. Perhaps you need a ride? I'm happy to drive you in my car if you need that sort of assistance......
