Though adult pools are often at neighborhood mail stations all neighborhoods do not have a pool.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these two posts seem to suggest that it is OK to :
a) check out the pool to see if you can break the rules if no one is there (unless they arrive after you), and
b) just ignore the rules and bear the consequences since there probably aren't any.
