Exactly

Newer Neighborhood

Get into a newer neighborhood with a younger demographic and the community has a neighborhood Facebook link. It gives you much better odds of having AEDs installed around the neighborhood with much less effort.

What would you consider to be a "newer" neighborhood?

When a player past out on the pb courts a while back, the Rec. Director came running over w an AED. I’m thinking that all the Rec. Ctrs. Have one.

My village (neighborhood) started in 2002…..and we have AED’s,
I have no idea what you last sentence means or what you are trying to say?
For that matter I wonder about the first sentence as well.

Cardiac Arrest and AED's

FYI - AED's are for sudden cardiac arrests. You have a few minutes to save a life. Join you Neighbor Saving Neighbor group and most importantly - know where AED's are. The Villages Country Clubs do not have AED's - something that will hopefully get changed soon.

Merely Suggesting

New transplants and neighborhood’s are more likely to get on board with the initiative is all I am suggesting. Transplants and veterans moving into a new neighborhood are more likely to want the option for AEDs. Why not, when you have landscaping, garage floor painting, lanai enclosing and solar tube installations going in too? The neighborhood Facebook pages are discussing groups forming and clubs are getting together for the first time. It’s a great time to do it.

If you let time go on, compromise can kick in and the idea can and probably does fade.

All meaness aside when one was put in the DeLuna/Marshbend area it was $75 per home covering 3 years. Not much to pay considering it was reported to homeowners that it is a 14 min response time for emergency response. Thank goodness for people willing to train in the use of such!

Why do you think knowing where AED’s are is important? It’s only important to those trained in their use. If I am having a need I don’t go to the device…..

Because someone who is trained in their use might send you to get it while he is giving chest compressions to the patient. There are many ways to help during this type of emergency. Even if it's holding the door open.

It seems like they don’t really care about the residents, their only concern is Building and Selling Homes.

Thank you to all that responded.
Almost all of you missed my point!
I am a medical professional. I know the value of the AED’S. I also know the value of all the trained volunteer responders. I have been here for two years and have seen how caring the residents of the villages are.
I only asked why the owners of the villages couldn’t pay for it. That’s it. I’m not opposed to paying it.
Also, the person that commented on all the beauty around us, Yes it is beautiful here there is no argument but you are paying for it in the Bond and Taxes.

Who do you think the "owners of The Villages" are?
