What if a group of people decided to go practice golf swings on the golf course because there was nobody there at some early or late hour of the day. Is that okay? Or would you tell them to go over to where the practice places are.

rules
I guess what I read from a lot of these people is, rules are made to be broken. Unless they are ones I agree with.

This is no longer t he truth ...it was never okay to have an organized group. Individuals can exercise but no leader is allowed. This was clarified today with John Rohan at a meeting at the Fernandina pool.

You are in a public place with no expectation of privacy. Personally I hope your pictures wind up on you tube!

Does anybody care that it is clearly stated by the recreation department that this activity is not allowed? Are you aware that most of us drive someplace every day for our activities here in The Villages? |
And newcomers wonder why one would spend the money for country club pool upgrade or to build one's own pool at home.
The pools here are not for a person or group to declare its use to be something other than what is stated by the recreation dept. You'd have golf privileges taken away if you decided to declare that _____Executive Golf Course will be used 3 mornings a week for your neighborhood golf scramble outing. It's not yours to run how you like it. |

Did you ever stop and think about why the pool looks "deserted" at that particular time/day of the week??? People quit going when they've been bullied by a clique that has taken over! And they don't want to get into confrontations with people too brazen to be subject to rules! |
Maybe that new card reader will solve the problem..................................

Rules are important in order to have fairness and order. Sometimes the rules get amended to allow for change. As we get older we tend to become quite set in our ways and dislike change more than younger folk. It is often the younger people who lead these changes. They are not bullies. Change is happening all the time. Rules change. Change is good, right? Otherwise the world would be run by a group of grouchy old people.

Helloooo. The rules haven't changed. You aren't supposed to be having exercise classes in the neighborhood pools, no matter what you think is best or who you think is grouchy. It isn't allowed here in The Villages. It isn't your pool to do with as you see fit. It is our pool. All of ours and John Rohan is the boss of the pools. He says no. |

Intimidation is "Change"? Takeover is "Change"? Disobedience of unchanged rules is just "Change"? Greed for having more of a community facility for oneself/group is "Change"? Now we see. |

"masses". We do not infringe on anyone else's space in the pool. What about the "noodle floaters" that encompass most of the pool space? Please do not deny us the privilege of pool use that is a privilege to all of us. |
