Default July 8 Space Shuttle

My children will be visiting next month and would like to witness the shuttle flight supposedly to take place July 8. Has anyone found a good space for viewing the shuttles? Thanks

If you want the best viewing, you will have to go to Cape Canaveral. It will be very crowded.

If you mean a location near the Cape, there was a previous discussion on ToTV about this last year. I have tried for weeks to book a room anywhere near there with no luck. We are going to try Army Guy's suggestion. Everyone I know who has been to a launch say the traffic is horrendous getting back to TV. Here is the link to the thread:

How about just a peek? Don't think I want to tackle the Cape that day. LOL

If you want a just see it in the sky, just have your television on and then run outside as it goes up. You can see it as plain as day from my house.

There is a clear view of the smoke trail from Havana Trail where it goes through the Havana golf course. Won't see much more than that from The Villages.

If you look to the east, almost any location in the villages is ok.
