About a year ago a young man was killed in a movie theater by a retired LEO, who had a ccw permit--the young man was texting before the movie started. In Fl the odds are 1 in 10, someone is legally carrying a firearm

"Word to the wise, don't confront anyone" is true, but it doesn't have to be inflamed with the other gas on the fire. I'd say that "You never know who might go ballistic and attack somehow". |

The o.p. has a right to bring up a situation that was leading up to a fight, and the people with authority to do something about that ought to know. I hope the management of The Sharon are reading and responding. Also, other readers who see something like this happening in the future ought to have a plan in mind for how to deal with an escalating situation like that, such as get the ushers to intervene, ask for the manager to come, etc. They probably won't have a reasonable plan in mind if nobody reports that such things are going on in the first place! |

I've seen it happen at movie theaters and in restaurants when someone cuts into a lineup. In my humble opinion, this is part of every day life, and no big deal. :duck: |

You never can tell who you are dealing with now a days in certain venues on any given day. Is the person you're about to deal with mentally stable or armed? It's like poking at a possible dead animal with a stick if you're into that sort of thing. Every day could be be a fun one!

The point I think some are missing or ignoring is that the customer/audience should not have to confront or correct another customer/audience member. That's what the employed ushers and managers are for! They should be present to see what's going on. |
