On the way out we saw a man yelling at another fellow who was sitting maybe 3 rows ahead of him. He was yelling "I paid good money for these seats and how dare you be so rude and keep taking pics and possibly filming with his phone during the show. It was extremely distracting , how dare you". I thought the guy was going to punch out the other guy out it must have been the light from his phone that was distracting and in a way I could understand the guy getting upset. They did announce to put all away and maybe the guy was constantly filming. It was interesting for sure

So was there a fight you almost witnessed or did you witness an almost fight ??

Kinda what I was thinking. :beer3:

Almost witnessed a fight. So glad we have the grammar police monitoring the site. Most of the time I am running from one event to another here in the villages and do not take the time to proof read my writing. Life is too short. I have a lot to accomplish yet so I post a quick blurb here and there in between enjoying the villages lifestyle. While using the iPad, mistakes are likely to occur.

Sounds like you wanted to sensationalize a minor incident. It is a good topic, I don't agree with using camera's/phones when asked not to. But Hula, you are going the direction of Ferguson, MO. 'hands up don't shoot'.

No, you are the only person who injected that "sensationalized" subject in here.

hulahips 05-31-2015 09:12 AM

Sensationalize?? Lol. Now that is funny. You are kidding, right??

Here we go again. An innocent post by an OP gets ridiculed by a minority of ToTV folks - so simple to do behind their comfy private keyboard. I personally love to navigate thru the Board and have for a couple years now. The only distasteful part is those folks who feel they must chime in with snarky personal comments. Man, I just hope my english grammar was proper here.

And - personally the OP has every right to bring this topic to the front. I can only imagine my angst if an audience member was so disruptive to others. If this is an ongoing issue at the Sharon - it should be announced that NO pictures or videos are allowed. Subject to removal from the event. period. And monitor by ushers.

Either way, we all have seen similar things happen. There will always be some people who take pictures when asked not to do so. There will be people who get upset and say something. Doubtful if anyone has seen it escalate to a fight.

If it really bothers a person, they should get an usher to intervene.

It is the ones who sing along out loud that irritate me. I have shushed them and that usually works.

I don't think the grammar police meant to be mean or unkind, it just sorta made me smile. The written word can't show a smile, inflection or body language so it often gets misunderstood.

Maybe we should arm ourselves with small water pistols when attending movies or concerts. Then if we see a I-phone or I-pad held up and a whispered warning is ineffective, we can make sure the device gets wet.

About a year ago a young man was killed in a movie theater by a retired LEO, who had a ccw permit--the young man was texting before the movie started. In Fl the odds are 1 in 10, someone is legally carrying a firearm

Word to the wise don't confront anyone.

This, too, brings in inflammatory topics like "LEO" meaning "law enforcement officer" who shot a young man, and the sensationalized topic of concealed carry weapon permits the opposition stereotypes/brands as ALL permit-holders chomping at the bit to commit the crime mentioned above.

"Word to the wise, don't confront anyone" is true, but it doesn't have to be inflamed with the other gas on the fire. I'd say that "You never know who might go ballistic and attack somehow".

Does the subject of this post mean that you witnessed an almost fight rather than you almost witnessed a fight (which didn't happen)? There is a difference.

Newguyintv, Warren already asked this question early this morning.
Asked and answered. You need to read previous posts.

And in retrospect, a good question it was!
