Nova changed them; we didn't. Other residents are having some of the same issues. Something has changed.

Well you are south of 44. Didn’t your realtor mention the mineral issue?

Odd that this new issue only showed up with the new filter change. Seems to me that the issues used that construction causes your new problem is bogus.

I had Nova system for over 5 years at single family house and had Nova installed when we bought our villa 1 year ago. I have always changed my own filters after the initial Nova install. I highly recommend NOVA. I also use the filter in my refrigerator, but I think it is probably overkill. Once the filters are installed or replaced you need to run several gallons of water through the system prior to drinking. Ok for anything else.

3 filters for Nova Water Filtration System on Amazon.com:

1st Stage : Sediment Filter (5Micron), 2nd Stage GAC Block (Granular Activated Carbon), 3rd Stage Carbon Block (5Micron):

Amazon.com

Currently $79.50 for all 3 (a package deal).

Tool to remove canister:

Amazon.com

O rings for canisters:

Amazon.com

Silcon Grease:

Thank you so much
I have been paying $130 to get these filters changed out
Are use your links and purchased The filters
What a savings and they delivered to my door
Thank you so much

Default Alternate water filtration instead of Nova

So I called and had a lot of "reasons" including all of the building going on in McClure (built out about a year ago) causing the problem, as the filters don't filter our minerals. Nova's solution was to add a fourth charcoal filter at no cost to us; however, when it's time to change filters again, it will be four filters. While I appreciate Nova's addition of the filter, I would like to explore other options including purchasing our own filters (suspect they substituted generic filters for the original) and having someone install them. Ideas?
I have a Nova system. After about a year and a half I noticed mineral deposits on my main bath shower head and black particles in my faucet strainers. Had not had those before Nova. Water taste is OK. Considering calling them.

None of those filters will do anything for hardness that causes the problem around the shower head. Hardness is treated with an ion exchange water softener. Florida is nothing but limestone and that dissolved in the water. Sorry folks, glad you love your filters but check the water for hardness.

Agree, filtration is the primary unit for purified water.
Optionally we can add on softener as well.

Those Amazon filters mentioned are $80,

We have found our filters work best in TV call us for $5 more.

Moreover, you're supporting a local resident & business.

Our Nova system uses one large combination sediment/charcoal filter plus a water softener. We get replacement filters online, easy to replace ourselfs. Water tastes perfect and we don't have any mineral deposits on appliances or shower heads.

Is there any possible way mosquito larva could get into a NOVA system? Any way at all?
