Default Aluminum Can Recycling

The Lions Club used to have aluminum can recycling barrels at the mail stations north of 466...since removed due Covid. Is there anywhere in TV that accepts cans for recycling? I’m not convinced that items we put out in clear bags on the curb are actually recycled anymore.

There is a recycling center off of 301 near Oxford that will buy your aluminum cans. Take the right (going north on 301) just before Napolinos.

Thanks for the tip. I used to donate mine to the Lion's as well and never got a clear answer as to why they stopped.

Through the years, there have been numerous complaints about the mess at the postal stations caused by people leaving bags of cans, instead of putting them into the bins. Additional efforts from the Lions did not prevent the mess.

More recently, it was realized that if the Lions were allowed to use the postal stations for fund raising, then any group could ask to do the same. I don't know if another group had asked to do this. But management decided to not allow any club to use the postal stations like this.
