Will be visiting The Villages in May for a week, and might purchase there. Wanted to know why residents that do not golf should have to pay the fee for golf courses?. I do understand the fee for mowing, streets, etc., as I would like the area kept clean and nice looking. This question is not because I am angry about the fee for golf courses, but really want to know. Thank you in advance to anyone that can answer this questions. Looking forward to my visit in May.

The fee is for all amenities. Rec centers, pools, boccie, shuffleboard, tennis,archery and the list goes on. It would be a nightmare to pay for only what you use. A few years ago I was told 40% of the Villagers do not play golf. Even if you do not play golf you get your moneys worth.

Our friend who lives in TV tried to explain it to me but I just couldn't wrap my brain around the whole concept.
