Default Ammenty fees and bonds

We live in Indiana and are very seriously thinking about retiring to TV. There are alot of charges there that we don't have now and I'm not sure I understand. Exactly what does the ammenity fee cover? What are the hidden charges and what is the bond used for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

See the topic (Thinking of moving to The Villages) https://www.talkofthevillages.com/sm...9.html#msg3539 - I think it will help.

The links above are for the appriser's office of the three counties that encompass TV. I hope they come out as links, if not, type them in.

It's my understanding that lake county's bonds are all paid. The bonds for other county's are around 6 to 7k.
It looks like you pay on a yearly, but I don't know how many years its spread, 10,20, ETC.

The bonds are for the install of county utilities. If you use the above sites, have an address, or owners name you can see what is being charged by the county.,

As for the amenties fee's, nothing is free, golf, swimming, ETC. Still looks good to me.

Another source of information about TV and Villlage Government and Amenities Fees without The Developers spin, can be found at the Property Owners Association website and in their monthly free newsletter dropped off in driveways and in a few retail establishments. An example of the kinds of information about our amenities fees from The POA can be found at: http://poa4us.org/issues.html
