Default Another Great Evening at Spanish Springs

Mrs. Buggy and I joined another couple for a super night of rock and roll at Spanish Springs last evening. Mrs. Buggy and I arrived early and set up chairs. Lots and lots were already set up and "reserved" (Villages style). No problem. Get there early and do the same thing yourself!

We alternated sitting and holding the 4 seats until the other couple arrived from Clermont at 4:45.

The show was Rocky and the Rollers and they were their usual EXCELLENT. The square was filled to capacity and the feeling of good times was on everyone's face.

Instead of standing in the long, long lines at the beverage stations, we got our drinks for the same price at Luigino's outdoor bar and Lexi, the bartender, is another good reason to go to Luiginio's outdoor bar! Very easy on the eyes. We ordered a pizza from them, also, and had a delicious hot pizza along with our drinks while listening to great rock and roll music.

Lots of snowbirds and residents from outlaying communities were there as well as Villagers. Don't let the crowds hold you back from getting out and really enjoying yourself at one of the town squares on a beautiful evening in The Villages.

I love when people post with such happy experiences.

We have not yet heard Rocky and the Rollers.

We went last night around 5 and took our chairs. It was so crowded that there wasn't even room to walk on the side walk. It was like Rockefeller Square at the tree lighting. We decided to listen a bit and head on home. We never set the chairs up. I'm not complaining because I think it's wonderful to live in such a vibrant community.

Yeah, that is true. As you now know, with the popularity of Rocky & The Rollers, you have to arrive by about 4 in order to get a space for your chairs. Naturally, this is the height of the season in The Villages and the squares will be very crowded when the "big talent" groups are playing.

We went for about an hour of listening and dancing then headed over to NY Athens for a great meal before the first intermission rush. I like the energy and showmanship of R and the Rs, but I think there are many groups that play locally who are musically superior, including Uncle Bobs Rock Shop, Yesterdaze, Cactus Jack and the Caddillacs, and any group with Clark Barrios. I like your other band choices. Uncle Bob is a bit too hard rock for me but his group sure has talent. Clark Barrios is great and seems to be with a new band each month.

Glad you had a good time, too.

We have not yet heard Rocky and the Rollers.

Please check them out as they are one of the best groups. They play in
Katie Bells if you are into crowds.

Thanks for the tip on " N-Tunes " Love Bras etc, Lenny Wilson is great, I grew up in the era of Rock and Roll I personally cannot stand it a Giant size headache. Give me the Four Freshmen, Four Aces ( Al Alberts ), Ambrosia, Barry White, Michael Jackson, ELO, Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang, Anita Baker, Jackie Gleason, The Association, Joni James, Bee Gees, etc.

Rock & Roll bang, bang right up there with RAP !!AhhhhhhhhhhhhScream
