I had to move many times as a child and truly hate to get rid of anything that has a memory for me today. When moving from California to here, the only way I could get rid of anything was the picture/note routine. I still brought way too many things.

Your mother is blessed to have you in her life. You paint such a loving picture. May your mother leave you with more wonderful memories in Florida. Bless you, your mother and your family.

Very very excellent suggestion !!

On another subject, how to save all the grandchildren's art work and crafts that they have sent to Grandma and Grandpa over the past dozen or more years? All the home made cards, the "jewelry" they strung and pasted, etc.

After awhile, every drawer, closet, etc. becomes overflowing with all these treasures "made with love" from toddlerhood on.

I guess the above suggestion would work just as well.
It is an excellent one.........the pictures, notes, scrapbook..........

Thanks for sharing.

Very clever! Thanks. You have just saved me some mental anguish.
