Default Any Craft Beer Lovers Here - I Found A Place!

I don't post here very often but felt I needed to post about Bob's Liquor Store in Leesburg FL.

If you are tired of Busch, Bud, and Miller and appreciate good craft beer you'll want to go take a short drive over there. I overheard someone talking at ABC liquors about Bob's back in October and I have been going there ever since. I believe he has somewhere around 300 different craft beers. If you don't see what you want make a request to the owner "Jay" and he will see if he can get it for you. You can make your own 6 make from a variety of different cold or on the shelf beer. Currently he is running a 10% on all craft beer. This is the closest place I have found in this area with a very nice selection of craft beer.

Tell him Chris from The Villages sent you if you wish.

Bob's is on 441/27 in the "Palm Plaza" where Publix is at.

Address for your GPS is:
703 North 14th Street Leesburg, FL 34748
Phone: (352) 315-0000

Looks to be on 27 a few blocks South of the 441/27 split.

I'll have to check it out - thanks.

Default Craft Beers

Excellent! The lack of decent microbrew/craft beers here in TV is a bit of a disappointment. But happy to hear about Bob's- will definitely check it out. Thanks for the heads up!

Default Rogue!

Woohoo! Right off the bat I see two of my favorites- Rogue and Lost Coast Brewery. Having lived in Humboldt County, we used to go to the Lost Coast Brewery in Eureka pretty often. My daughter lives in Portland and we go to Rogue River Brewing when visiting her. Must visit Bob's this weekend!

Hubby is salivating already. I love to buy beer but don't like to drink it, so we are a perfect pair.

Nice to see some fellow craft beer drinkers here. I would LOVE to support this guy for being the only one around who even bothers to try. He also has beer tastings from time to time.

Sam Adams has an expiration date on the bottle to insure freshness, but for the craft beers at Bob's, how would you know how long they've been on the shelf? Does he do that much business? We've been buying the DunDee collection from Publix from a brewery in Rochester, NY which I believe may be the same people who make similar "craft" collections for Costco and Sam's Club. I also love just about everything that Sierra Nevada brews, which is too "hoppy" (bitter) for most people.
