Lanai Sliding Screen Door
Looking to add a sliding screen door to our lanai. Want to keep sliding glass door open for ventilation without inviting in our lizard friends.
Anyone had that done? Recommendations appreciated. Thanks |

Someplace on you door is a mfg tag with the name of the company that made your door. Should be a model number also.If you find it , go to their web site and see if they have one that will work for your door.

We added one to our lanai. Romac came out and delivered it and we did the installing ourselves (otherwise it's another charge). They do the doors/windows of the homes here, I believe. The cost for our house was about $100.00 Price probably depends on your design.
I think we checked 1st at the Big Box stores and they didn't have the size we needed. Just an FYI |

What sort of home do you have..we have a courtyard villa? Also did Lowes install for you?
additional cost I know, but just wondering if that service was available. Thanks for the information |

If they can get into your lanai, wouldn't they be able to get into your house even with a screen door?

I am thinking it would be one more barrier. Could be wrong..depends on design of sliding door and gaps I guess.

I was able to stop the anoles from getting into the lanai by finding their entry point. In my case it was a small opening underneath the aluminum threshold of the screen door. I could only see the entry point looking at it from outdoors. Just stuffed a little bubble wrap in there to see if that's where they got in. Yes it was! Haven't had one in months.
