DIver0258 ... what brand is the R2D2 vacuum?
Thanks |
My Experience
I had one up north for our front lawn. Let it run couple times a week and it kept a very neat clean even yard look. Early technology and I had to put it out and retrieve it but I've seen later ones that find "home" to a covered charging station that would be a huge improvement.
One of the Con sides was that after a couple years I had to replace the battery at $250 a pop. Include that in the payback calc. |

We have a husqvarna robotic mower that we purchased from Lowes almost two years ago and absolutely love it. It mows when we want it to mow and not once every two or three weeks in the winter and fall. Well worth the money. In the summer it mows two to three times a week and re-mulches the grass. We also have a Roomba 980 that we use in the house for the last three years and swear by it. Of course, we have a dog that sheds daily.

I cannot get over how well the fellows and girls coming to cut our grass works and I appreciate the price and the service. If it ain't broke, don't buy another thing to gather dust in the garage. |
There is a lawn off canal that must have a robot mowed lawn. Grass looks great, except that it must track the same every time it mows. So there are deep lines where the wheels are, but the grass is perfectly cut. Would think you would have different programs so that wouldn’t happen, but maybe it’s a first gen.
