Default Country Barber Shop

I called and made a reservation at The County Barber Shop. They not only did a good job, but I was impressed with the protection: Wait in car until they call you; everyone wearing masks, including customers; plastic sheets between chairs; discard the plastic apron they use for customers; disinfect after each customer. I was happy!

If masks are optional, then how does the fact that the employees wear them make you feel any safer? I go to the Carl’s at Brownwood, but won’t until everyone is required to wear a mask.

On a side note, how can you get your hair cut while wearing a mask? Wouldn’t the straps get in the way? Maybe hold it to your face?

Best to wait another year or two. Should be much safer by then.

The Admiral went to Cal's in LSL , had to wear a mask & bring her own towel--got to see her usual cutter--the greater made sure everyone adhered to their safety protocols before entering

I got an appointment at 6 pm as i wanted to be the last customer for the day. I asked the barbrto change the apron. My concern was the virus could be in the hair clippings. Not a problem, the barber promptly changed it for a fresh one. We both had masks. It was cal's in colony plaza. I scheduled my next haircut 2 weeks out before i left.

went yesterday to “Big Al’s “ in Summerfield, They were busy with every other chair in between everyone check at the door, , they call you when your stylist is ready, I watched total clean up with sanitizing wipes, stylist with mask and you with mask, no mask they will give you one, but you have to have one waited 1/2 hour the owner Julie told me that on Monday with 5 stylist they did 350 haircuts that is something at least now I feel human and normal

I went to Professional hair cutters in Wildwood by the ACE hardware yesterday. Wear a mask, the barber does. Great cut, little wait.

As for gloves, I looked into CALS in LSL this morning as we walked by and the 2 barbers that I was able to see were NOT wearing gloves but they did have masks. I'm sure they used hand sanitizer first.
A barber/hairdresser uses their fingers as a tool for cutting and styling hair. I would not expect a hair stylist or barber to wear gloves. I would, however, expect them to either wash their hands or use hand sanitizer between every patron.

Right now is the BEST TIME in my opinion. Not only did I desperately need it , they are scrupulously cleaning AND with everyone having been home for 6 weeks , the possibility that anyone there is infected has to be almost nil.

So doesn't seem to be an issue so far.
My wife had the same experience and was very happy to be back to her “natural” color.
