Default Mowing your lawn too short

I have noticed that a lot of yards have their St. Augustine grass cut too short. This causes it to brown and invites disease. I have read and been told that it should be cut at a 3.5" hight. IMHO I think people should relay this information to their yard services companies.

Are you sure it's St Augustine and not Zoysia? I'm not suggesting that you don't know your grasses. Just making sure.

No mine is St. Augustine and the ones I am referring to are St. Augustine. Type "lawn mowing" into this sites search for more threads on the subject.
