We are in need of new fridge, washer , dryer. Hopefully that's all. Looking for suggestions on brands. Where to shop . Also would like opinions on Front load washers vs Top loaders. Side by side Fridge, freezer on bottom or top etc....

Haven't been there long enough to tell you where to buy, but we have LG in our TV home and they are great and what I would recommend; Whirlpool in KC home and the appliances are okay (now that our 3rd refrigerator in 2 years is working ok).

We have had a front load washer for 10 years. I believe they use less water than top loaders. We are happy with it. Only "issue" is we need to leave the door cracked open a bit after a load of wash so the rubber seal between the door and the washer has a chance to dry otherwise some mold may develop on it. This is really a minor issue and perhaps is not a problem on newer models???

We have a "freezer on bottom". It came with the house. I prefer side-by-side.

Regarding brands to buy, this can be a bit confusing since the same appliance may have a couple of different brand names. I believe Kenmore and Whirlpool might be the same. We have had good luck with Whirlpool and GE. We haven't tried any of the other pricier brands such as Kitchen Aide, Subzero, etc.

We bought from open stock at Best Buy, lowes and Home Depot will do packages if buying more than one piece. Bailey industries in Leesburg has a show room and was the former supplier to the developer on most homes here.
