Why clean a driveway, does TV clean the streets-have never seen a street sweeper in our neighborhood--its concrete--not fine tile

The scrubbinng by Egner's took care of all of it. Plus it is amazing how we didn't realize it was generally dirty, other than the mold. It's quite a difference. |
I have a huge circular drive + stamped concrete at my non village home - which looks good but pavers give the home feeling. I prefer pavers even if they crack. Stamped concrete can crack also. At my Village home I plan on doing pavers as soon as I decide on a reputable company.

I have to also say most of my driveway looks like it has a "mottled" look to it. It is not an even color and it doesn't look very nice to me or my husband. Someone said "don't fix what aint broke". My driveway isn't broken but I just want to make it look nicer. |

In the past 2 months I have encountered 5 different folks with stamped concrete that is starting to separate from the original driveway. This work was done by different companies. Most were 7 or 8 years old. The repair was very expensive. One with a large driveway and lots of damage was a 12K fix.
So this raises some questions as I am getting ready to have my drive done. Have others had this problem? How old is your stamped concrete? Many of you seem to love the job done, but does the work last? I don't want problems in 7 or 8 years. Pavers crack but repairs seem lower cost, stamped concrete delaminates and is very expensive to repair, as much or more then the original cost to install, and plain concrete stains. What other options are long lasting? How long does the stained design concrete option last? What are the repair costs for that option? I have seen several stained concrete driveways that are 10 years plus and still look good. But is that the normal life? |
We choose to have a buck naked driveway. We get rid of iron spots with rust remover.
I have seen some beautiful driveways that are "done" and lots of unbeautiful driveways that are "done". Sometimes Less is More. |
