Nope. That said, pools and hot tubs are an individual thing. Just like customized golf carts, some people feel the enjoyment they get from having one is well worth the added cost and others do not.

Prior to moving to the villages: I had never seen painted driveways and sidewalks and massive landscape projects with sometimes a dozen Palm trees. I saw less than a half dozen swimming pools with walls rather than screened enclosures. I have never seen people adding rooms and extending garages practically from day one. You can't go down most streets in hillsborough and lake Denton without running into craftsman. We purchased when we did because the prices were creeping up faster than our retirement date, snd we were worried about getting priced out. The prices seem to have a healthy profit for remakes of patio homes, or it appears that way to me. What do you find the norm about the villages?
