Along with cleaning the venturi there are a few other things to check:

- Are the holes in the burner clogged or rusted over? (have this problem often)
- Is there debris inside the burner tube? (took a long time to finally check this. I needed to take the burner off, shake it, and run water through it)
- "Reset" the regulator. (Google this. It can be put into a "safe" mode if the burner is turned on when you open the tank. Simple process to reset it.)

Plenty of helpful youtube videos on this subject. After connecting a new tank of people, slowly crack open the valve.

I had a similar problem, very very low flame on burners. Where really you could not cook on the grill. I found out I was lighting the grill the wrong way. With all of your burner knobs off, open the tank valve allowing the propane gas to enter the regulator and flow on both side of the diaphragm inside the regulator. Only takes about a good 5 seconds. Then you open your burner valves. Never had that problem again. Now if your gas tubes and burners are clear (no spider webs) and your tank is filled yes it can be a faulty regulator. You can buy a new regulator in Home Depot. Once I had a float in the propane tank get stuck had to change out tank.

Agree. JB's Grill Cleaning and Repair is the best. We had our grill cleaned and it looks like new. They took the whole thing apart and gave it a deep cleaning. Amazing!

Highly recommend. There is no place like them in or around The Villages!

When I hadn't used the outdoor BBQ grille for a period of time I experienced the same issue. Spiders often will build a web in the tubes.

So I "fire the grille up" once a week even if I'm not cooking on it now....seems to have eliminated the problem

Close tank valve, disconnect gas hose regulator assembly from tank, clean appropriate parts that transport gas to burners and burners themselves, reconnect hose regulator assembly. Open tank valve, open burner valves and light grill. ALWAYS open tank valve first before opening a valve to burners. If still not working consider replacing the regulator.

If your grill is in good shape it may be the tank. I had the same problem and the employee at SPARR said the tank has a safety valve in it to prevent any gas from being expelled unless it’s connected to a hose/regulator. Sometimes the valve gets stuck if the tank is in humid changing weather. Brought the tank back and they replaced it free. Works fine now.

Clean out the line going into the burners, there is a spider that love putting their nest in there a flexible wire long enough usually does the trick

Tank Safety valve. Close tank valve. close all grill burner valves. open tank valve. wait 10 mins for the tank safety valve to pressurize. Open grill burner valve and Light in your usual manner.

If that doesn't work, get a new tank. Don't forget the sequence. Grill valves closed. Tank valve open. Pause a minute. Light Grill.
