Best Aerial Antenna
Hello,
I am purchasing a home in Hemmingway. I will want to start out with the minimum for infotainment at the house. Probably just the lowest cost internet (at a reasonable speed - only will use one or two devices at a time). YouTube TV, and will want a great antenna to get the most local stations (Ocala, Orlando, Tampa).
I think that I read where someone had a good antenna from a supplier in Michigan, but now I cannot find the reference.
Can someone help?
Thank you.
Sincerely
Paul Hellebuyck

I have an antenna in the attic over the garage in a CYV about 3 miles west of you, I bought it from Amazon for $27. I can get all the Orlando local channels except Channel 2 NBC, I would need a second antenna if I wanted WESH. I have the antenna only as a backup to my Directv, you do get about 50 channels with the antenna. Many Spanish speaking, religious and sub channels with have old reruns and movies. Good News for you, youtube TV you get all the local channels from Orlando, you get the ten main channels.
Youtube TV Channel Lineup for $65

If you still want to put up the antenna, this is it, it's not $30 and it's probably the most used model in TV. You should buy it with the mounting pole so you can attach it to the rafters, otherwise it would just lay across the rafters, that was about $18. You would need a third antenna for Tampa and a fourth for Ocala, they're all in different directions. Tampa would the same networks as Orlando.

Check out Antenna Man - Cut The Cord He has a YouTube channel with a lot of great advice (especially about the cheap antenna above).

Or you could probably use 1 antenna with a cheap rotator. Would save lots of room. You might need a multiband antenna not sure what freq all those local channels use.

I bought an antenna at Best Buy for $12. The only problem is that it won't get any channels at all. But, I saved a lot of money.

Locast, get all your local channels crystal clear reception in HD for $5 a month donation. I have Directv but got the app free last month and when Directv and ABC had a two week dispute, I watched Jeopardy on channel 9 via locast and never missed a show. Didn't pay the $5, it's only a donation. All you need is internet, and something to get the app, a Firestick or Roku stick will work, they're about $30 at Best Buy. Those sticks come with tons of free programing and movies. NO antenna necessary.

Like I said in my post, I only used it for Jeopardy because Directv and Channel 9 had a dispute, and the one Locast commercial fell right on the commercial break for the show, so I had no reason to pay. However, if that was my main source for local channels, I wouldn't have a problem paying the $60 a year. With that out of that the way, there is really nothing else you should be concerned about.
Here's a secret not in your video and I didn't mention it in my previous post. The Locast app will know your local stations by getting your location off your address bar. There is an extension called 'Location Guard', if you download it, it will block your browser from giving away your location. Then just go into the location guard app, I believe it was set on Paris, France, and change to whatever city you want, I changed it to Baltimore. Then when I turned on Locast I got all the Baltimore local channels. Many thousands are using this to get their hometown sports games. I don't condone this, but it happens.

as mentioned, if you have youtubetv , you won't need an antenna.
If you like your antenna, then there's no reason to get youtubetv
youtube does have a lot of non-local stations

Make sure you don't have radiant barrier in your attic. If you do the antenna won't work.
Mount it as high as possible in the attic. Every foot helps.
Aim it at 115 degrees. You can install a compass app on your phone.
Install the amplifier as close to the antenna as possible, as opposed to close to the TV.
I get Channel 2 clearly and live near Savannah Center but my attic is taller than most.
