For my money:

1. Billy's on 441 for omelettes. I get the vegetarian omelette substituting spinach for broccoli. It's enough for two breakfasts. I love their hash brown potatoes but I get sliced tomatoes. Their apples over pancakes is also very good. Billy's is close to my house.

2. Darryl's for blueberry pancakes.

Rae Rae's omelettes are good but from where I live, it's a bit of a ride. If someone lives around 466A, it's fairly close.

My son loves First Watch but it's not my favorite but you got to keep the troops happy. I feel it's on the expensive side. IMHO

Someone told me KeKe's makes enormous pancakes. Never been there to comment on their quality. FWIW

Hasn't anyone on this site been to The Farmhouse in Belleview. Last time there breakfast was a little over 5.00. Behind McDonalds off of 441 about 2 blocks north of the intersection of 301 and 441. Cute old farmhouse restaurant.

Well, for us, with all the new sickness being reported, the best place for breakfast will be home, for awhile, until we see just who is getting sick and how sick they are.

VApeople 08-01-2021 02:15 PM

We don't go out for dinner much, but we really enjoy going out for breakfast.

We love Darrells, both the one in Pinellas and the new location along 466.

Breakfast

We like Wolfy's in Leesburg.

taruffi57 08-01-2021 02:38 PM

B.D. Beans in Belleview. Best quality breakfast and 3 coffee choices. We like Run-it-through-the-Garden omelette (2 sizes). Good lunches too.

The BEST anywhere near the Villages!! I'm a lover of breakfast and picky! Dam Diner has NEVER disappointed. I do like Billy's but not everything on the menu. First Watch is very good for a more "upscale" experience. Keke's for the pancakes!!!

kkingston57 08-01-2021 04:39 PM

Depends upon where you live in TV. If you are near North/Spanish Springs area, Billy's is highly recommended. Only complaint is they serve too much food especially their home fries. If you order a blintz get the small side. More than enough for 1 person.

My house. (Sorry, we're booked thru the end of the year)!

Went to Billy's Cafe. Once. Never went back.

Vernon Hud 08-01-2021 07:47 PM

Bonifay country club, great breakfast buffet. No waiting, and a good atmosphere.

HJBeck 08-02-2021 06:08 AM

Billy’s Cafe rte 441, good home cooking, plenty of food, reasonable prices

THUNDERCHIEF 08-02-2021 06:27 AM

Why not drive 20 miles for breakfast? If the place is good-- go to rae' rae's on 441 north of 466a - great place

Flying Biscuit is very inconsistent. More often than not it’s not that good.

You know you’re in trouble when a place that has Biscuit in their name serves you cold, hard biscuits,….

Luggage 08-02-2021 06:59 AM

Now I am hungry :)

stadry 08-02-2021 07:25 AM

imo, bib evans by far, isn't the 'best' however 1 would anticipate the same satisfaction the quality/experience iss the same chain-wide.l.ike pizza hut - it mayn't be the 'best' pizza but you know that in advance when you decide to go in,,, flying biscuit opened in marietta, ga (e cobb)couple yrs back but lost out to local- long established b-fast eatery & closed w/i yr of opening
just couldn't break thru...........................................

stadry 08-02-2021 07:27 AM

Never been there but here it is fabso much for friendship.........................if it is 'fab' as you post why not try it yourself ???

Flying Biscuit by cart (10 mins from your location). Patio seating. Great biscuits. Unusual healthy options.

Favorite breakfast

Cottage Inn on 441. Very reasonable breakfasts and good coffee. Also make great soups for lunch. The crepes are the best.

I disagree. My husband and I totally love First Watch and he has their eggs Benedict (poached eggs) on a regular basis. Prices are a little higher, but ingredients are fresh and nothing is premade and much more variety to the menu than standard eggs, potato and meat breakfast.

Cindymae27 08-02-2021 09:12 AM

Billy’s cafe on 27/441 across from Walmart

If you are talking in The Villages proper....I like Too Jay's. We're close to Brownwood, but there is one at Lake Sumter Landing.

finchhere 08-02-2021 10:47 AM

Near Spanish Springs off 441 (north), and near Brownwood off 466A (south)

Ben Franklin 08-02-2021 10:48 AM

My kitchen, but it's not open to the public. We need an old fashioned Greek diner. Haven't been to First Watch here, but always found them good in other places in SW Florida.

We love Billy's BUT.......we would not bring guests there simply because the ambiance is not very nice. Sorry, Billys.

Now......you want to give your guests a lovely atmosphere for breakfast, brunch or lunch, my heartfelt recommendation is for "First Watch" on 466A. The food is incredible and I've only had one over done Fritata Rustica of the many I have been served. The food is fresh and usually the service is great. I will leave you with "you get what you pay for".

I agree with you about First Watch's food, but I think the inside ambiance is meh, and the outside can be very windy.
For ambiance, we like one of the country club porches, especially Palmer, where you can sit under cover but outside and look out onto the golf course. The food isn't quite as good as First Watch, but it's decent.

jaj523 08-02-2021 01:51 PM

There is also a First Watch on 441 not far from the Villages Hospital.
