The Villages doesn't have HOA Dues. We have an Amenity Fee and it is $135 a month.

Does TV have a listing of all of their sales agents, similar to MLS real estate offices? Thanks for any information.

jerseyboy1 12-15-2009 11:04 AM

If you're looking for resales not listed by TV I would highly recommend Susan Nelson of Prestige Properties.

graciegirl 12-15-2009 01:12 PM

Can you ask for a certain Villages representative to work with?

On the matter of sales reps employed by The Villages, I wanted our friends to work with our rep, Jim McLaughlin, but they did not assign him to them when they requested him.

I don't know if people can "get" certain sales reps or not.

We were assigned a rep (Mo Cook) several years ago but have had no contact for a while. I was curious to know if one could select from a list of reps, or if assignment was still how TV does it.

Bob Boyd, knows his inventory and extremely helpful. He will not hesitate to take you out to the sites as often as necessary and will make suggestions. No pressure.

Avista 12-25-2009 07:37 AM

I agree with dgammon6. Justin Wilson is a great realtor and was so very patient with us. It took us forever to select a home from preowns and new. Just stays in touch and even treats his clients to a movie at Mill Run once a year. He must rent the theater. We are all there with free popcorn etc. He has a lovely family he always brings to the theater outings.

kit9240 03-05-2010 02:38 PM

I have been to TV on 2 Life Style Previews and was assigned to Mo Cook. She pushed really hard on new construction and wasn't interested in showing resales that I had requested from the inventory available. Also, I never hear from her. I will be back again in May and would like to look at some VLS properties and will try to request a different agent. I've heard that Lyle Gant is an excellent source for MLS listings.

We were initially assigned Mo Cook also. At first her follow up etc. was very good and then dropped off considerably. This was at the height of the boom a couple of years ago, maybe the reps were unsually busy at that time.

Anyone know a former rep named Greg Hudek? We made a spur of the moment visit to TV about 6 years ago and he showed us around. Nice young man. I think I heard that he went into management in some capacity. If so, I can see why.

sales reps

As I said in previous post...have worked with Jim McLaughlin on 2 visits so far and think he's great! Not pushy, knowledgeable, patient and sincere...what more can you ask! He knows we are not purchasing until early 2011 but still keeps us updated frequently. We love TV!

We have been on 2 visits over the last year and have Greg as our rep--we find him very helpful and never any pressure --We are going back again in June and hope to buy ---:cold::beer3:

Best T.V. Sales Rep

:coolsmiley:

Debra Parks has been wonderful!! We are still waiting to retire to T.V.; but when we visited to see T.V. for the first time, she was so attentive to our needs during our stay. We recommended her to my brother who bought a house, then bought another to rent. She made all the transactions go as smoothe as possible from Long Island to T.V.
They had a good experience. We will use Debra when the time comes to leave NY.

Good luck!

Villages Sales Rep

Has anyone worked with Brenda Smith?

Boudicca 04-08-2010 08:25 PM

Best agent

Julia Powell Fleming was FANTASTIC. We came on the Lifestyle "just to look" and left, owning a new home in Buttonwood. Julia never pressured us and answered every question we had. SUPAH gal. Sandra Randell

jaspal 04-08-2010 09:08 PM

I visited in February. Ron Delk was recommenced very highly by someone I sat next to in a restaurant. With her recommendation, I contacted Ron Delk.
I could not have been more pleased with his knowledge & personal caring that he showed my husband & I. He is exceptional to deal with.
We hope to come back in June & purchase a home in The Villages. We will only deal with Ron as an agent.
Soooooooo----I recommend Ron 800-346-4556--or locally 753-2270

azoblue 04-09-2010 10:31 AM

Julia Powell Fleming is indeed Fantastic

We were assigned to Julia when we made our first lifestyle visit in June of 2008. She spent considerable time with us in 2009 when we rented for 3 months. She is very knowledgeable and a wonderful "listener". Julia helped us find and secure our lot in late 2009. She was especially helpful in assisting us with the design of our new house in Pennecamp. We have already recommended Julia to others and will always be grateful to her for her wonderful professionalism and assistance.

sales rep

We also caught Julia in the luck of the draw. DURING BOTH LSV,s, she was a real pleasure to deal with.

best sales rep

our pick is Mike Joy! He helped us in the purchase of 2 homes
as well as 1 for my wife's sister and 1 for our best friends.

That's 4 homes and not one problem. He always goes above and
beyond we would recommend him to anyone.

Juliej 04-09-2010 03:38 PM

curious?

Does anyone know how many sales people TV has on their staff?

SisalPhil 12-21-2013 03:49 PM

Quick Story ~ The night before we where going to take a 800 miles trip up north to visit family I discovered my car needed to have a serpentine belt replaced & other minor repairs. I contacted Julia Powell Fleming our real estate agent with The Villages Real Estate. She was at a Justin Timberlake Concert in Orlando. She contacted me and set up a repair for us in the morning so we could leave on our trip. She did a great job finding us our new home and has continued to assist us after the closing. She is competent, honest, reliable and we consider her a friend. If you are thinking of buying or selling a home in The Villages I would give her a call.

graciegirl 12-21-2013 03:56 PM

Jim McLaughlin was our rep both times, but we did the leg work. He is a nice, ethical man and a grown up villager.

He and Patti are great ambassadors for The Villages.

BarryRX 12-21-2013 05:27 PM

I would use this guy

Best of both worlds...

I would highly recommend Crystal Adams and her husband, Glenn Adams. Crystal specializes is new-build homes and her husband specializes in pre-owns in TV. What a great team they are!

And to answer a previously asked question....yes, you certainly can request an agent you would like.

plrbr1120 12-21-2013 06:32 PM

We used Jason Kranz. Treats you like family !!!

eweissenbach 12-21-2013 07:05 PM

Most Villages real estate salespeople are good, as you can see by the above recommendations. I am a former realtor and I would higHly recommend Tony Trussler. Tony is low-key but very thorough and delight to deal with. If you want to explore MLS listings for pre-owned homes I would highly recommend Lyle Gant. Lyle is a TOTV poster and a great guy and has a terrific website. I would love to see one of these gentlemen rewarded for the many hours they have spent with, and for us, with ,as yet, no results. (Through no fault. Of theirs)

travelguy 12-21-2013 07:36 PM

Our realtor was Kathy Actis. I would highly recommend her. She did everything that she could to make sure that we got the house that we wanted in 2008. And I still get a birthday card from her every year.

We have used Debra Parks for both selling and purchasing. As a former realtor, I can vouch for the fact that she is a true professional.

About 250. They are not technically on staff. They are independent contractors.

Radioman41 12-22-2013 11:17 AM

Nanette Tolleson was our sales representative. No pressure whatsoever. She spent considerable time with us on several trips to TV. She always gave us thoughtful advise.

Author Cindy 03-09-2014 12:42 PM

Chris Hallmark was phenomenal! He made all of our dreams come true. We gave him a laundry list of things we were looking for and he found the ideal spot for us. He's a no pressure rep and listens to ALL of your needs and believe me we challenged him. Thank you, thank you, thank you Chris!

villagetinker 03-09-2014 02:38 PM

Priscilla Hart was our sales rep, really great!!

rosygail 03-09-2014 03:05 PM

Sara Godleski found us exactly what we wanted....before we even knew what we wanted!

ssmith 03-09-2014 07:09 PM

old thread back from the dead

.....this thread originated in 2009 so some of the reps may not be the same.

Our Rep Jack Skelly ( the best) no longer takes new clients. We have had him several years and he was the only one who would customize your home back in the hey days of Hadley, Duvall when they mostly sold ready built homes. Of course now no longer customized available.

Barboza 03-09-2014 09:51 PM

Try Cherry St Clare, I would recommend her every time! She could not do enough to ensure our satisfaction & a few months later my brother used her & Charlotte to sell & buy another home close by us. His home was sold in less than a week & he had to move out very quickly. Cherry's husband even helped him move. 2 weeks from putting his home in Bellaire on the market to being in new home, can't do better than that.
We also had great after sales service from her.

Barboza 03-09-2014 10:04 PM

Surely they can't use Villages Sports facilities or rec centres! Ok to play cards at friends homes of course.

2BNTV 03-09-2014 10:17 PM

I think the best VLS sales rep, is the one you feel you have chemistry with, and can ask any questions that come to your mind, without hesitation, or fear, that you are bothering them, too much!!

You also need a MLS sales rep and I recommend Linda Sears who works with John Mello. Phone number 352.205.0713.

I know they are patient because they had to deal with me, and my million questions. Just ask, they will tell you.

They guided me thru the process, and are wonderful. I was a handfull. :D

Never forget, they work for you!!!!!

skyguy79 03-10-2014 01:36 PM

Matt Clark was our rep and would use him again if the need ever arises. He did a superb job in guiding our absentee buying process. He sent pictures, worked through an express mail process and coordinated viewings with a third party friend of ours. He's also one who definitely doesn't forget his clients. After sales he has given us gifts of thanks and he has even held thank you parties at rec centers for his clients. Apparently he's been so successful that he has even obtained an assistant to help handle the load. I think anyone that has Matt as a rep is a lucky client!

Check out Matt's website on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thevillagesmc
