It seemed like only minutes after the lightning struck I heard the fire truck!:crap2: |
Had 3.1" of rain from the Saturday storm at our Hadley home. That is in addition to 2.8" on Friday evening.
Neighbor & I are starting to talk about prospects for building an ark. |
We are living south of 466A, and during the storm I saw our outside BBQ moving away, even the wheels were blocked. It stopped moving when it rolled into the grass.

We, too had a terrible drainage problem. "They" came and fixed it -- extensive French drains (more than one), etc. They had to come twice! It is much better than it was but is far from really being fixed because the lot was never prepared correctly to begin with. Unless you remove the house and start all over with enough fill and then proper grading, it can never be what it should be. So in the meantime, we are still walking in mushy grass until a couple of days pass. It just bothers me considering the price we paid that things such as this weren't done right to begin with. Unfortunately, we also have other issues with our house, and it has taken its toll on our nerves and outlook. I'm speaking about things that should be right and aren't, and for the most part, we have little or no recourse. I guess one way or the other, this too shall pass. |

I think it might be a good idea that everyone posts the date of the storm, as we are having them daily..........just sayin. |
