Default Break-in on Ainsworth Circle in Hadley

A neighbors house was broken into Saturday evening while they were home. The prepetrator opened a screen window in the master bedroom, grabbed a jewelry case off a bureau and was gone. Unfortunately the homeowners did not notice the cut screen or missing jewelry case until this morning. Another neighbor saw a suspicious white male in shorts walking on our street around 8pm but when she looked back again he had disappeared.

This house backs up to the pond between Ainsworth and Landale Loop so hopefully someone else may have seen something.

Thank you for posting.....said the lady that lives in Hadley. With the nice weather we are tempted to open our windows.

We were just talking about keeping our windows opened however added a screw in windows to prevent them from opening all the way.

I think Lowes or Home Depot sell these.

If I were a burglar, I would not think people had good stuff in their jewelry box. I don't. I certainly would NOT enter a home with people present with so many here armed and skilled with guns. Burglaries usually start now during the busy season. Apparently the bad people like to winter in Florida.

The irony is that the jewelry box only contained cosmetic jewelry. And yes her husband is a veteran and does own a weapon. Unfortunately for them and fortunately for the thief my neighbors never heard a thing.
