The report comes from Harvard and their quality pool of educators. Isn’t it great to learn what your tax money has been paying for?

Aliens? Just stop it already!

People are always ready to jump to conclusions about aliens. Yes they are out there somewhere in the universe, that is a mathematical certainty. But the chances that there is even ONE other technical civilization anywhere here in our own galaxy are very small - close to zero. Even if there were one here the chances that they would be close enough to detect us and send an unmanned probe here are also close to zero. Manned - fahgeddabowdit!! Any aliens smart enough to get a manned mission to other star systems would also be smart enough to realize that there is no good reason to do so; it ain't happening.

People in general need more study about the incredible distances between stars in a galaxy and the impracticality of manned interstellar space flight. Also a thorough study of a field of mathematics known as Probability Theory is in order. And throw in a sufficient study of how life germinates on a planet and the odds against intelligent life developing would also be recommended.

Whenever anyone thinks that aliens might be here, or have come here, or are on their way here.....uh.......no they're not.

Always look to the most likely explanations first, not the most farfetched.

your on a roll! Tell them about the effects of our gravity on a species not born here

. It's all hogwash. Comets many times have a forward pointing tail. It depends on which way the trajectory is pointed. All comets emit their own light due to the interaction of the solar wind and the make up of the comet. Nuclear power just impresses the non knowledgeable. It's the propulsion system that matters and we have nothing, nuclear powered or otherwise, that even approaches 1% of the speed of light. It's all hogwash. Oh and we get a clear night I'll take a picture of it with my telescope. There are a ton on my astronomy sites

Yeah, it’s probably the Enterprise, back from the future.
The New York Post tends to be sensationalistic and less than accurate. It aims itself at a more gullible audience, sort of like the National Enquirer. So you have to be careful. Remember, that’s the paper that trumpeted the supposed high STD rate here years back, and that was untrue.
