Doesn't take rocket science to tell when cars go by you like your standing still!! Thought we come here to retire and relax and take it easy.

Of course the traffic mimicked the Chicago expressways when it came to a screeching halt and backed up from the wreck at 466A all the way to St. Charles at the St. James roundabout. Holy smokes, folks! Let’s stop driving like Bozos, and keep it down to nine mph over the speed limit.
Just curious. Which speed enforcement device were you using? If radar, where you un moving mode or stationary mode? Did you have visual tracking history? Perhaps it was laser. What was the distance when you obtained your reading and at how many feet away? When did you last have your device certified?

It doesn’t matter if someone uses their turn signals in a roundabout if they are not going to abide by the roundabout rules. I had a plumbers truck in the inside lane coming into a roundabout to my left and he almost hit me making a right on the 1st exit, which is against the rules. I called the company and reported their driver and they were going to speak to him.
Months ago, I made a comment that the snowbirds are here, the average age just went up and the avg mph on the streets just got lowered by 10mph.

Radar hasn't been around in traffic enforcement for many years. It's now Lidar and it's better and safer for the user. Though being TV they might have a vascar setup.

I had that happen to me a few years ago and I was really shocked. Then it happened two more times in the few weeks.

I don't like the phrase "drive defensively" because it sounds like we should always be in fear of something happening. I prefer something like "drive alertly" and always be prepared for the other drivers to do something stupid.

Ever notice that turn signals quit working after you cross the Georgia/Florida state line?

If you are doing the speed limit anywhere in The Villages, you are probably going to get run over along with a few one finger salutes. Until the PD start issuing tickets it's only going to get worse.

I'm sure he's capable of doing more than 15. He's the one doing 25 in a 35 in the left lane.

Default Driving tips

Who would have ever thought that a driver from Chicago would be giving safe driving tips. Next thing you know he'll be talking about the Bears going to the Super Bowl.

Expressway traffic in Chicago tends to be very safe an polite. If one drives like a Bozo, one is likely to be followed down the exit and “admonished.” Chicago drivers, being the spiritual lot that they are, understand that admonishing the transgressor is a spiritual work of mercy. Provides a good living for the ambulance and ER crews too.

Well, up north there are speed bumps to calm traffic. Here I just tuck myself behind the best driver and figure if someone’s going to get the ticket they’ll be first.
