Default Buffalo

Does anyone miss the buffalo as much as I do - I always enjoyed looking for them when they were located by Sumter Landing. If enough of us put soemthing in the survey that we would like them back - do you think it could happen?

I am still a TV wannabee but I did see the buffalo when I was there on a lifestyle visit in 2007. They were wonderful and I was very sad when I read that had all gone. I doubt that they will ever return though. There have been several threads about them on the site. If you enter "buffalo" in the search box hyou will find a wealth of information about the buffalo and their leaving!

Yes I miss them too.
But they are appearing in the meat department at Publix.

I think we all miss the buffalo a lot! But the Developer owns the buffalo fields and has more profitable plans for it.

I think we can write on surveys until we're blue in the face.

I'd been surprised if they ever return.

I thought they were a nice touch for a while until some people started treating them like pets by feeding them and trying to pet them. They became more of a liability than an asset. Good ridance to those smelly beasts. Although buffalo steak is more flavorful than it's beef counterpart.

Default Where the buffalo roamed

Oh give me a home
Where the buffalo roam
And the lawyers are banned everyday

Let the little ones gaze
As the buffalo graze
And folks once again have a say

Home, home on the land
Where the bison and buffalo stay
Where grandchildren stare
At a sight that's so rare
And the Villagers treasure each day

Bring bison back to the fields
Where no profit appeals
And let Villagers enjoy them again

Mr. Schwartz would approve
Of this noble move
And our dreams then would really come true

Nicely put, Cabo. I miss them a lot and could merrily strangle every idiot who thought they weren't wild creatures to be viewed, not touched. Even so, I think the plan to remove them was probably in the works long before the lawsuits started. They did take up prime real estate. But I want them back!!!
