Have to laugh when capitalism dictates prices, through supply and demand, and some people want to blame politics. Here's an elementary lesson. Last year we were in lockdown, basically, and not much business was being conducted ohr than on-line. Low demand, low prices. Housing starts Jan-Apr 2021 is roughly 32% higher in 2021 as opposed to 2020.
One national builder out of AZ is quoted as saying, "new orders of 283 as compared to 132 in the 2020 first quarter, a 114% increase. |
