Don't forget them at Christmas and Valentine's Day or they just might stop grazing next to your house!

Personally I don't think the new TrailWinds Village has a chance! Remember the movie " Caddy Shack"

I have a entire Village of them fuzzy critters in that Cow Pasture!

The lower section of Tamarind Grove is safe from the proposed new commercial park and homes. The 255 page Wildwood documents have this section still zoned as Agricultural.

When we bought we knew it would some day go. I figure even if it did a 25 foot mandatory buffer of landscape would be better than looking at someone's Lani.

None of the property on 466A that is within Wildwood City Limits is zoned agricultural.

What I meant

Read the 255 page report look at the maps and zoning and you can read and see what I was refering to.

Which is the non village property in back of Tamarind now a cow pasture. Wildwood just approved the construction. So I assumed.

Sorry for any confusion. My reference was to the in print documentation of that land in back of our homes which is still as per the survey zonned agricultural. Or so the map in front of me states.

The new TrailWinds Village is above the hill from us.

CarGuys, page 78 of the 255 page document shows that the property behind you is zoned CMU (Central Mixed Use). This is the same zoning as the property where Trailwinds Village is going to be built.

You are correct to say that the current use is agricultural. The same is true for the Trailwinds Village property.

This is ALL very confusing and difficult for the lay person to understand and follow. I should know since I own a home on Ansley Path which abuts the proposed Trailwinds Village project. I have been following this for many months - making phone calls and attending meetings, etc. In fact, I wrote the letter that appears on page 104 of the 255 page document. Lately, I have felt like I'm back in school attending Civics Class as I have learned about the operations of the City of Wildwood and Sumter County.

Having attended meetings about this, what is your perception about the reality of this plan and its time-frame? From perusing the layout, it does look fairly inviting as far as aesthetics are concerned (at least from a prospective of a potential user of this development ... not sure about from a neighbor perspective.) The way that they show many separate buildings spread around the plot rather than a massive centralized structure sounds appealing. I would also think that the change from general apartments to senior housing will lead to a quieter environment.

Re: the plan - It has been explained to us that this is only a conceptual plan. The number, shape and location of the buildings may change. We won't know more until detailed site plans are submitted to Wildwood for review.

Re: the timing - Honestly, I can only guess. And your guess would be as good as mine. I have been told that it is more likely that the retail/office portion near 466A will be developed before the assisted living portion is developed. I'm guessing a couple years, but don't know.

The conceptual plans were created by the developer (Word family) so that Wildwood could create an ordinance to define the project. But the plans could change and Wildwood would review them and then revise the ordinance.

There is more uncertainty... the property is For Sale. If the Word family sells the property, the new owner could very well completely change the plans. Of course, any changes must be submitted to Wildwood for review.

Thank's for you insight. I feel your pain and read in detail the reaction of having the " Tall" buildings moved down lower, the trees saved and the new developer having to make it so noise night lights etc make it a friendly neighborhood.

It appears that there are some that rejoice in Ansely concerns and others mis fortune of having a beautiful view ruined by a Senior Citizens Home or another housing project.

Many residents were mis-lead that because The Village did not buy that property it was going to stay as a Argicultural/Wildlife buffer for the distant future,

Now lets wait for the Chernobyl fan who wants his Nuke Plant. Ohh to late already posted. Attachment 2100
