Default Bulk Trash Pickup?

Would appreciate if someone could inform me, or direct me to where to get the answer to this question.... When can I put bulk trash out to the curb? What are the restrictions as to what they will take? Thanks in advance for your time!

Short of major appliances, I've found that they will take everything you put out. The first few pick ups after we moved in were massive piles of stuff the past owner had just left us. Between the pickers and the trash crews, it was always gone.
