Good luck with your closing, and welcome to the neighbourhood! We moved into Linden 12 weeks ago, and have fabulous neighbours! Looking forward to meeting you.

My wife and I used Vista Print. Great price and you can design your card with different backgrounds and all the information you want on it. We put our picture on our card so people will recognize us. I find the cards extremely useful especially if I have I need to contact a neighbor or vice a versa.

Default Business Cards

For safety reasons most people do not include address.
Just name, phone number and email.

With your name there is a wealth of info. out there. I'd worry about being more careful online than giving out a card to people I want to stay in touch with.

Default The “retirement” cards

“Retirement cards” are a wonderful way to meet new friends. I have my name, phone numbers and the name of my village. I omitted my address. I have a collection of them from neighbors and people I have met in some of the clubs in which I belong. I ordered mine on Zazzle, but I believe you can get them at your local Pack and Ship store. Some people include their photos. Welcome to life in The Villages!

My husband and I each have separate cards. Our address is not on the card, but I stuck an address label on the back of a few of them, so I can hand those out if needed.

I like the ones with a picture of the person or couple on it. Makes it easier to place the the name.

Default Calling cards still very viable

This thread cracked me up!

I met my wife in a English pub many years ago and handed her my "calling card"....She still has it. It had my name, phone #, and e-mail address only on it.

Many people today simple transfer a text messge or vCard from one smartphone to another.

Some of the best business plans and contacts transfer on the back of a cocktail napkin too.

I'd suggest getting "free" cards printed by vistaprint.com (no annual membership) or buy Avery pre-perfed cards and run through your home printer (avery.com has template software)

I agree with others that a street address isn't necessary esp if cards get lost

The "inside humor" of listing your loofah color is too funny!! You'll have to read other threads here to get the meaning.

Hi, I am so glad we put our pictures on it. I must have 20 cards at this point that others have passed out to me; none of which I know who any of them are. The amount of people you meet especially the first 6 months is overwhelming not just neighbors but from clubs, sports, and events. There is no way any of us could remember just by the name. I hear this over and over. Just a thought I uploaded my own high-res image onto the Vistaprint website to make my name cards, as I call them! Welcome soon!

i've used Vistaprint for all sorts of things .. I sent them a picture that was made into a change of address postcard. Have done business cards before at ridiculously low rates.. quick turnaround. no hidden fees
