Last night at Sumter we met a gentleman who does business cards, license plates and golf cart names and decals. He had a booth and will be at the town squares on Market nights.
Would like to suggest adding your picture to the card. Helps people remember who you are.
Welcome to The Villages!

I use the Avery DIY system from Staples and print my own cards. It is a little more expensive than buying 500 cards for 10 dollars, but I like being able to print a sheet of only 8 cards at a time. That way, you can change the design or color anytime you want.

Social cards is what I call them. I used Vistaprint. You can get graphic arts assistance for only $10 for 30 mins of online help. Loved the end product!! I’m
Passing them out to friends, former business associates etc.

The younger crowd just airdrops their own contact from their phone. Set up a contact in your phone for yourself. Include what you are willing to share with others. I suggest not the address. You can include a picture of yourself or even icons of sports & activities you like or notes at the bottom. Then just airdrop (or text or email) it to the person.

I met a lady who wrote on the back of the card how they met. I have done this and it really helps. I then take a picture of the front and back of the card and have a file in Gallery on my phone so that I can always pull them up. I also have a copy of my card in my phone and can easily text it to someone I meet. As far as address, do what you feel is comfortable, but it is so easy to get your address. Under the district.gov page you can search for anyone. This will not only give you their address, but will also show you their utility bill and whether they have paid or not. Very surprised this information is not password protected.

I've used Vista Print on several occasions (as recently as last month) and never had a problem. Prices are very cheap, many styles to choose from and delivery is quick.

Well that is disturbing to learn. I had no idea. Where on district.gov does one do that?

My reply keeps getting flagged as spam. Assuming it is because I put the website link. I will try to walk through step by step.

go to districtgov.org, left side 1/2 way down under quick links click on utility bill information, scroll down then click on billing account inquiry, once there, do a search by name.

The average resident in the The Villages moves at least three times, so omitting your address may be wise since cards are printed in bulk.

There is a vendor on the squares who makes business cards. Always nice to put your picture on cards so people can put a face with the name.
