Three years ago my three year old Maytag washer went bad, and the repair was going to be over $300, so I decided to get rid of both. The washer had about a dozen functions we never used or wanted, and it was something to do with the computer that went bad. I went to Appliance Direct and told them I wanted the least complicated washer and dryer in their inventory. They sold me the Whirlpool set, which at the time was less than $800. They were delivered the next day. Love them; no problems and the clothes get clean.

As an owner of a dry cleaners, for 40 years, I strongly suggest you get frontload if you have the room and can afford it.
Huge difference in cleaning quality, drying time, and you can put your bedspread and blankets in it.
I’m not sure what brand I got, but I got it at Walmart or Sam’s or Home Depot and it was I think 1500 for both?!
