I bought a Roku streaming stick ($40) for my lanai. I can get Comcast as well as my Comcast DVR. It works great and a lot cheaper than paying Comcast to run a new line.

You can go wireless.

Sorry, I just read the other reply. They are correct.

When I moved in, (new home), I had Directv installed. When the installer came, I made sure that he put connectors on all of the cable wires in the garage in the box. This way, if I ever decided to move a TV or need an additional tv hooked up. The cables were also ready. This also helped when I had Comcast installed for internet service.

Comcast can provide a wireless device for use on your lanai. That would save you the costs of an electrician.

I would call an electrician first. We had some initial work done to our existing house (new a/c and mini split), then, while doing other things, we learned that some stuff in the electrical box was "shared" when the mini split was put in, and our box was maxed out. You might want to have that checked out. And, yes, we did have an inspection when we bought the house 6 mos ago. Because everything was working, nothing was a problem. It's when you start adding stuff that you might have a problem....just a thought. We used Pike's and they didn't charge us for coming over to check out what was going on.

There is a box on the outside of your home where the wire runs underground from the green pillar in the rear.
Fortunately Comcast ran coax cable into my lanai |
If you have wi-fi hard cable lines are not necessary
|
I highly suggest getting an Amazon Firestick (you will need one for each tv in the house) and stream it is so much cheaper than cable, satellite tv and you can get so many channels you won't know which to watch. Local channels are available on the Firestick plus so many more. All you need is Wifi to run this. There are no outages either.
