I will be moving into a home I rented for the month of January in Calumet Grove and am totally unfamiliar with the area. Is there an adult pool nearby, bars, restaurants etc.? I rented south of 466 last year and become very familiar with the surroundings and what was offered, but never really ventured north of 466 lol.

There is an adults only pool on Calumet Avenue across from the Calumet Postal Station. Lopez Legacy CC/restaurant is very near on Buena Vista; there is also a casual eatery by the Lopez pool. A nearby shopping plaza just east of the Mulberry Grove Rec Center includes a Beef O'Brady's, Sammy Joe's Pizzeria Cafe (small but offers much more than pizza; also serves breakfast), a relatively new Cody's, a Chinese restaurant (Shanghai; you can eat in but they're more of a carry-out), and a Subway.

The Spanish Springs Town Square is about 6 miles to the southeast and has many eateries, shops, etc.

Actually, there are 6 pools in the area, 7 if you count Lopez. All available except Lopez where you have to be prior country club member. CR 466 is short distance (3 to 4 miles) cart path or by 🚗 where lots of eatery’s and shopping malls, Publix has store in mulberry shopping center. Calumet is right of CR 42 I’d you want to google earth.

No worries you’re in a great spot. We live in Calumet, I believe you’re in Woodbury Your location is close to the stores and restaurants written about.
