There is a camera club in TV, maybe get intouch with them...

I tried to donate a very nice 35mm SLR to a charity up north and they said they only take digital camera's. It seems that film is just about done away with.

Does not surprise me, I have a whole (Xerox) box of various film cameras, I tried to sell but no success, may try again at a flee market....

You might consider trying to sell it on eBay. Many camera collectors peruse the site daily.
