When we go to our design meeting do we have a choice of what plants and trees will be in our landscaping package?

As I recall, yes, however, unless you are very familiar with Florida plants you may need to rely on your sales agents advice, been there and done that. There are many plants that really look great, and turn out to be a maintenance nightmare, on the other hand, there are plants that are OK, but a pleasure to maintain. There are also plants that you do not want under any circumstances to be planted next to your house.
Hope this helps.

It may depend on if you get the “basic” package or add to the basic. We designed last September and got the basic package. We were not given choices on design or location. We did add in the contract we did not want a Magnolia for our one tree. So they didn’t put in any tree. We called warranty after move in and had them add a tree we chose and in the location we wanted. They did say plantings are based on the time of year and what is available. If you go through neighborhoods you will see a lot of similar plants, at least where we live.

I recommend calling your agent and asking the question.
