Default Can't Access TOTV

I am posting for BK001 as she has informed me that she is unable to access TOTV through Firefox, with the following error messages.
"Cannot connect, server taking too long".
"Server unavailable".

She doesn't have problem accessing other websites, just TOTV. I have suggested using another internet application but similar messages prevent her from accessing TOTV.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone have a possible solution?

Need to clear the history & the cookies. I was having a problem with a particular site. I called them & said I had cleared my history etc. They said clear the cookies. I was then able to get on the site.

In Firefox, no issues.

Always do what Bonny tells you to do.

Aw, that was sweet. Thank you.
I found that out when I was trying to pay my Citi Bank charge card online like I always do and I kept getting these messages. I had to call Citi Bank & they said clear cookies and then everything was fine. I use Google Chrome.
Hope it works.

On Chrome there is a icon on the browser bar. I click that, go to history and check clear history & cookies. It will clear out all of the sites you have been on. I assume Firefox would be the similar.

We don't see any restrictions on her account. If the password is off (case sensitive) you will also get the same message.

At the very top of the Firefox page you should see the "menu bar" with tabs for File, Edit, View, History, etc.
If the menu bar isn't there, right click on the top of the page and check-mark the menu bar.
Click the History tab > click the Clear Recent history > make sure that for this endeavor only the "Browsing & Downloads", "Cookies", and "Cache" are checked.
Then clear it.
Easy, Peasy.

I am back! Thank you so much for posting this on my behalf.

I have been unable to access this website for the past week. I've been able to get on every other website I wanted (I'm an Internet junkie and use it for everything).

I took all of your suggestions - rebooted the router, cleaned the cache, removed the cookies, changed browers from Firefox to Safari and downloaded Chrome. None would get me on. 2 days ago I tried my cell phone and found that I could get on but it is almost impossible or at least very difficult for me to read/answer any posts.

I tried googling TOTV to see if I could contact someone but got no results. I did a WHOIS search on TOTV to see if that would give me the website owner's phone but domain is registered by a company called "Domains by Proxy". After a couple of days I felt so frustrated and fearful that my affair with TOTV has come to an end and that DH and I are back to being on our own here in TV. Then I remembered that I had collected a couple numbers for some reason or other and was able to reach out to Joe (2BNTV) who graciously took my "you don't know me but ... phone call and posted a notice in my behalf. The administrators checked my account and said I was not blocked.

Yesterday I told DH that we need to go to go to the Geek squad at Best Buy to see if they can help or, in the alternative, I am going to buy an Ipad (I want one anyway). So he agreed to take me today. About an hour ago, after searching and reading reviews on various Ipad models, etc. I randomly tried to logon and presto -- here I am. Very strange.

I just thought of something -- there was a brief power outage yesterday in Lynnhaven that shut down everything in the house. I wonder if this somehow reset things which then allowed me to get on?

I was able to log on Monday morning - and never again until I checked late last night (Wednesday). My computer's browser is Firefox. Clearing temporary files and cookies didn't work. I also tried logging on with Chrome and IE on another device with same result. No luck with iPad, either. Since there was no problem getting into any other website, it leads me to wonder if TOTV was/is blocking certain IP addresses?

Oh so I might have had the same problem if I bought the Ipad. Next time (hopefully that won't happen) I may just take the laptop to a free wifi area and see it that let's me log on. I assume the IP address changes if you are in a different area?

BK, I think the IP address changes but I'm not skilled in computer matters. It just seems strange that lately many posters have been shut out from TOTV for a few days at a time and then, suddenly, they're back on and it doesn't seem to matter which browser is used.
