My insurance with Geico doubled with no accidents or claims of any kind. They had no explanation for the increase, so I went to AAA and they insured me for the same rate as the original Geico rate. Anyone who has any feelings of loyalty to an insurance company is crazy. They don't give a whit about you.

Btw, why doesn’t this forum show up in my emails anymore?

Car insurance as well as homeowners insurance has doubled this year. They are all a monopoly

I would imagine the influx of migrants flooding the country would contribute to this as they are not eligible for a license or insurance in Florida so they drive with no license or insurance, that is a formula for disaster.

So, think that make difference? I highly doubt undocumented migrant going to to get insurance even if they are eligible. Maybe for month then cancel after they get plates. They only get fines if caught. And if accident most will skip state.

Our car insurance increased significantly this year because my husband turned 80. We have to go with it….

Same with us. It was about 7 or 8 years ago. We went to State Farm and it decreased by a little bit more than 50%.

It's worth checking around every couple years, especially if there is a big increase.

Had home/car/cart/umbrella bundled with Progressive for several years. This year, at age 79, they doubled home and car. I think that gouging existing customers is their usual practice. Changed to State Farm for home and Travelers for car. Net increase was 50% instead of 100%. Fingers crossed for next year.

Just received our invoice from Progressive. We have our home and cart with them as well. No accidents, tickets, but did just turn 65. 2017 Lexus with low miles. 50% increase, and that's with paying the annual all up front. Spread it out and it's an additional 30%. Shopping around, but not expecting to find anyone less expensive. Have done this shopping every year for the last 4 since we arrived.

Yes I’m sure the process will start all over again! I was with Progressive Ins. ( Prudential) they raised their rates so I found Mercury Ins. & I can just about bet you my Ins. rates will go up again when it’s due again & like you said the process will start all over again & I’ll be darn if I’m going to play their little cat & mouse game, I’ll be shopping again. I’ll bet you Mercury won’t getting me as a govt. fool, or my money!

They can have the car towed if they don't have insurance and need to show proof of insurance to get the car back.
Also, after the second driving without license arrest it becomes a habitual offender felony.

Although the point was having a car crash with someone who has no insurance and you don't have the extra insurance is going to contribute to higher car insurance for everyone.

These days you really have to shop around. I saved by bundling my home and auto with the same insurance company.

Of course the moderator can prevent someone from receiving a daily courtesy email. Look at your vBulletin user guide under user infraction manager.

And we all know how to check our trash can.

Until the moderator tells us something different, (r u there?) turning off someone's daily email is one way to tell us we're not wanted.
