Good morning friends!

I have created a team "The Lone Ranger" and hope you will join me in the fight against cancer in making a difference. Our event has a challenge to raise $48K in 48 hours. It began at midnight, April 1 and concludes at 11:59:59PM on Sunday. We only have 14 hours left! Please help me achieve this goal by contributing to my team, "The Lone Ranger".

One of Many Reasons This Is So Important?
Besides having been touched by so many in my own family and friends, I had the privilege of meeting Roger while walking the track at an event. Roger had attended the Relay last year with his wife; cancer had affected so many of their friends they wanted to support the effort. 3 months after the Relay Astrid was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, fighting a valiant fight for nine months. Roger and their friends buried Astrid Tuesday.

On Friday, friends walked the track holding a spirit stick that Roger had made last year. They each took turns carrying the stick around the track in memory of their dear friend Astrid. As the sun set, I was introduced to Roger. He has brought donations in memory of his beautiful wife. He wanted to walk the track and carry the spirit stick in her memory on a track illuminated by luminary bags, two of which had her name. He struggled to talk about her, but let me know that while it was hard to be there only three days after laying her to rest, he needed to be there to help so that others would not have to go through this sorrow and loss.
