Cardio Drumming
Beware all Villagers. Cardio Drumming (the act of beating a pilate ball with drum sticks) could be coming next door to your home.
Awoke to this Cardio Drumming this morning 2 houses down from me. I live in Summerhill. There was about 12 participants. Pounding like a head ache for 1 hour. This was the first time but my wife was informed that it will be happening every day. We called Community Watch who told us that we need to call Police. We called Police. They told us that noise is allowed between 6 am and 10 pm unless the noise is more than the decibel level which it probably isn't. So beware, what usually starts in one area and is allowed will spread throughout. |

A group of people did the cardio drumming last week a couple houses away from us and it did not bother us at all.

Since people get upset at the sound of chimes I can see that drumming might be a problem if neighbors can hear them through the walls etc. Especially if they bought a place away from busy streets and other noisy areas and paid a premium for the quiet.

If they are inside the house, I'm not sure if there is anything you can do. I know I would not be a happy camper with that racket in our wonderfully quiet neighborhood.

A group of good-looking young women in tight outfits, jumping up and down and drawing attention to themselves?
I didn't find it irritating at all. Of course, I only watched for a short while, like maybe an hour. |

LOL, I think I'd call those mysterious guys in full uniform with no badges or name tags out of DC to "drum" them away. Where are the "little green men"* when you really need them !!! * Little green men (Ukrainian crisis - Wikipedia)

We live near a lady 3 doors down who owns a dog. I woke up two mornings in a row with its sharp yapping. When I walked around the block one day I met her and her dog. He was just a puppy, she gave me a lovely smile. One more morning I woke up to yapping and that was it. I guess the dog got trained. Not so sure if the drummers will.

It was outside the house. !2 of them drumming away. I called the Police. They told me that the noise ordinance allowed noise between 6 am and 10 pm. Unless the noise level was greater than the allowed decibel level which the Police Officer doubted very much. Police Officer told me that i should go talk to them. I called the Police to try to avoid a confrontation but they told me differently.

My hubby got a drum set when he was younger, not a Pilates ball, a serious concert style drum set. Maybe we should try it out again. You said after 6:00 am and all day?
It takes real effort to be considerate. No effort at all to be selfish. Last edited by Velvet; 06-06-2020 at 03:45 AM. |
