CBC National Bank???
Does anyone on TOTV know what's going on with CBC National Bank? They have a branch in Pinellas Plaza.
This is why I'm asking ... Today's DS Classifieds has a "Notice of Branch Purchase." It states the Citizens First Bank intends to purchase the branch banking office operated by First Federal Bank of Florida at 2505 Burnsed Blvd. This is the address of CBC National Bank. The CBC National Bank website states that CBC National Bank is now First Federal Bank and the account conversion date is August 24. Citizens First already has a branch bank in Pinellas Plaza. So why is Citizens First purchasing this bank? Are they dissatisfied with the physical location of the current branch bank which is at the rear of the plaza? Are they making a play to buy the accounts held at CBC National / First Federal? What's going on? Does anyone even care? |

Don't what it means but according to the FDIC that branch was just acquired by First Federal in April of this year when CBC was merged into First Federal. First Federal picked up all of the branches of CBC so maybe it is going to keep some and get rid of others???

Banks come and go, they change like the weather--don't think, there will be a bank shortage in TV

Citizens is probably buying the bank assets at that location to preempt others from acquiring additional footholds within their primary market. I previously ran several community banks and that would have been a serious consideration , whenever a competitors location and assets became available in a market that we deemed important

I just got an email from CBC that says the branch in Pinellas Plaza is closing at the end of August and that all accounts there will be transferred to Citizens First Bank.

Only a matter of time before federal reserve notes are exchanged for company scrip.
